This was a personal project where I wanted to experiment with scene moods and lightning. All modeling was done inside 3ds max and rendered with Vray. Scene itself was pretty much done as a raw render but than I wanted to test some other options and mood inside the scene.

Project
This was a in-house project started as practice peace. Idea was to take some of the pre-existing promotional photos and try to re-create them. However, there was no point in doing completely the sama style, so added some little twist in to it, personal style if you wish.
After collecting all the nececery reference material, modeling was the frist obvious task. It took around a week or so. Next was adding all the details and interior, even had no itention of doing interior shots.

This was a slightly different project.Here I was able to experiment with camera angles and different compositions. Realism, as allways was the wanted result, and I think that is what was accomplished at the end. There were endless options on how to light the subject and especially in post work, I could go in any direction, from dark exposure to flash effect.

This was personal project based on previous test done with Camera project. I wanted to accomplish studio-type setting where subject is photographed. Did some research to see how Apple ads were done. I released that non of the photos outhere were actual photos, so I had to rely on my own taste and result that I wanted to achieve.

In this movie project I was part of VFX team doing heavy modeling and texturing, everything from ships to planes, set extension components and environments.
All material and models will be posted later after movie hits the theaters in 2012.

One more project in series of ArchViz. This time project was contracted by great folks at Mertte Oy .
Project started with recieving Cad file including blueprints. From there was just question of getting the walls up, all the windows and doors and all other possible assets around the house. Than sending files and draft renders to the client and after getting feedback, making corrections and fixes. Ineterior decoration was one of the sections of the project where I had free hands. Another client approval and moving on. Textures and shaders, lighting - done. Moving on to the rendering settings and composition based on clients wishes.
As I do enjoy doing archviz, this was fun and fast project. Communication with the client was great as always. Done and done.

This is a animation project done for folks at "Imageneering". Project itself was quite interesting and full of challenges. First part of the project was mostly filled with modeling and testing the idea of robots presenting the Metso brand and their new facility opening soon in Finland. Going back and forth between diferent options and sketches took some time before hitting the right mood. AD back at Imageneering had a strong idea how the robots should look like and that helped a lot in this case. After that there was simple rigging of the characters (all 7) and testing the movements and how the characters should perform. Also testing the lightning, materials and all took some time too.
After being done with that, new challenge came up: how to animate and render robots eyes, since they suposed to be presented as LED lights with scrolling movements. This required some testing and tryouts in combination of rendering geometry inside 3d software than taking that data and inporting in compositing software, doing all necessary changes and effects and rendering back to 3d software as ready animated textures. This was the only way in this case to be able to animate all the assets at the same time. Only problem was that whole process is just time consuming, going back and forth between two softwares in this pipeline.

About
Introduction
Mile is a freelance 3D artist residing in the Tampere, Finland. Mile E. was born in Karlovac, Croatia in 1982 and moved with his family to Serbia for a while. His artistic ability was recognized later in his life while still studying electrical engineering.Through his childhood he was busy building stuff, and also getting things into the pieces. After finishing studies he started getting more interested in art and motion. Starting as many other in this field, playing with Photoshop was soon just not enough, and by the chance he run into Maya and 3ds Max for the first time. He was amazed what could be created with a little bit of practice and patience. So it began. Many years of practicing and self learning , sleepless nights and days. During the same period he got the job at Nokia as software testing engineer/localisation engineer. Next job was at Etteplan tech. solutions as visual designer and also later on senior visual designer, doing mostly technical side of 3D animation and modeling. Next project was production for the feature-length scifi comedy "Iron Sky" working as 3D modeler and texture artist. He is currently located in Tampere, Finland..
